GENERAL INFO
Where is the campground?
Frohlich Woods Campground in Frankenmuth, MI. Exact directions will be emailed to all guests in August.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in opens Friday, August 22 at 6:00 PM.
Check-out is Sunday, August 24 by 3:00 PM. No early arrivals permitted.
Can I arrive late?
Yes. Gates remain open Friday night and reopen Saturday at 10:00 AM for GA and weekend passholders.
What’s the age limit?
This is an 18+ event. IDs will be checked. No exceptions. Must be 21+ to consume alchohol.
Will I get a map or schedule?
Yes. All campers receive a digital and printed Festival Schedule + Campground Map at check-in.
CAMPING & PACKING
What should I bring?
Tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, bug spray, rain gear, reusable water bottle, trash bags, costumes/drag if desired.
This is primitive camping — pack smart.
Are there showers and restrooms?
There are no private showers. One cold outdoor shower, a shared water spigot, and portable toilets are available.
Can I bring a firepit or grill?
No. Personal firepits are not allowed. We provide communal fires nightly. You may bring a small grill.
Can I camp in my car or van?
No. All camping is in tents at assigned sites. Vehicles stay in the parking lot.
What if I’m coming alone?
We welcome solo monsters! Choose a Group Tent Spot to share a grove with other campers.
PARKING
Is there parking?
Yes.
- If you’ve reserved a campsite, one parking pass is included.
- All other vehicles must pay $5 per day.
- Parking is located at the campground entrance. No cars allowed at campsites.
PET POLICY
Can I bring my dog?
Yes — dogs must be leashed, well-behaved, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Owners must clean up after their pets and not allow them to urinate in the campground.
Monster Drag Events assumes no responsibility for your animal.
FOOD & MERCH
Is food provided?
No, but we’ll have 3 food trucks on-site each day. You can also bring your own food and cooler (no stoves or flames).
Will there be merch?
Yes — limited edition Feast of the Flesh shirts, prints, and drag artist goods available for purchase (cash or card).
Can I sell items at my campsite?
No. Only approved vendors may sell in Vendor Village. Apply for a booth via our vendor application page.
SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY
Is this event accessible?
The campground is wooded with uneven terrain and limited lighting. Please contact us in advance if you have mobility needs — we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Is it safe for queer and trans campers?
Yes. This is a queer-first space. Harassment or bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. Our staff is trained in safety and mutual care.
What if I feel unsafe?
Notify any member of the staff immediately. Violators will be removed without refund.
WEATHER & CONNECTIVITY
What if it rains?
The ritual proceeds, rain or shine. No refunds for weather. Bring boots, tarps, and embrace the gore.
Is there Wi-Fi or phone service?
Signal is weak to nonexistent. Tell your people you’re going dark. Let the woods consume you.
LEGAL & LIABILITY
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. All guests must sign a waiver releasing Dragvertising LLC, DBA Monster Drag Events, Monster Drag Collective, Michael Ryan Whitson, and Christopher Barker from all liability.
No claims may be made against us for any reason, including injury, loss, weather, or emotional damage caused by horror rituals.
You enter the woods at your own risk.
